Arlopu Slide Playsets recalled for head and neck entrapment hazards
November 5, 2026 ยท Source: U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission
What it is
Arlopu Slide Playsets are being recalled. The company is offering a free repair kit.
The hazard
The playsets have multiple openings where a child's torso can fit through but the head cannot. This poses a risk of serious injury and death from head and neck entrapment. The basketball nets on playsets with model number KT-CS17 can also come unhooked from the rim and form a loop large enough for a child's head, which poses entanglement and strangulation hazards. Arlopu has received one report of an entrapment incident, which resulted in abrasions on a child's neck.
Check if you own it
The recall covers Arlopu Slide Playsets, about 10,318 units. They were sold online at Amazon.com and Walmart.com from April 2023 through August 2026 for between $90 and $130. The basketball net hazard applies to model number KT-CS17.
What to do
Stop using the Arlopu Slide Playsets immediately and store them away from children. Contact Arlopu for a free repair kit, which includes redesigned panels, basketball hoops and installation instructions. You will be asked to send a photo of the product showing the model number to arlopu_support@163.com. When the firm receives the photo, it will mail the free repair kit directly to you. Once the repair is complete, write "RECALLED" with permanent marker on the removed components and dispose of them.
