Urban Arrow Cargo Electric Bikes recalled due to fall hazard

What it is

Gazelle USA is recalling Urban Arrow Cargo Electric Bikes.

The hazard

The front bolt in the seat post clamping mechanism can break, causing the seat to become loose, posing a fall hazard. The company has received nine reports of damage or wear to the saddle-seat post connection. No injuries have been reported.

The recalled bikes are Urban Arrow Cargo Electric Bikes. They were sold at specialty bike stores nationwide from 2016 through 2022 for about $9,000. About 1,032 were sold, and about 134 more were sold in Canada.

What to do

Stop using the recalled bicycles immediately and contact Gazelle USA to receive a free replacement seat post and saddle. You can install it yourself with no special tools, or take the bike to an Urban Arrow dealer to have it installed at no charge.
