Costway convertible high chairs recalled: stop using them and get a free replacement
October 22, 2026 ยท Source: U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission
What it is
Costway Convertible High Chairs. About 3,332 were sold at Walmart and Target stores nationwide and online at Costway.com from May 2023 through July 2026, for between $84 and $100.
The hazard
These high chairs do not have a passive restraint system, so they don't meet the mandatory safety standard for high chairs. A child can slip through the opening between the feeding tray and the seat and become trapped or fall. This could cause serious injury or death.
Check if you own it
Look at any high chair you bought from Walmart, Target, or Costway.com between May 2023 and July 2026. Check whether it is a Costway Convertible High Chair.
What to do
Stop using the high chair right away. Contact Costway for a free replacement. You will be asked for a receipt or a photo of the product. Costway will send you a prepaid label to return the recalled high chair. Once Costway receives it, they will ship your replacement at no cost.
