Primark recalls 101 Dalmatians faux leather coin purses
October 15, 2026 ยท Source: U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission
What it is
These are 101 Dalmatians faux leather children's coin purses sold by Primark. About 2,100 were sold.
The hazard
The coin purses contain higher levels of phthalates. Phthalates can be harmful if young children are exposed to enough of them, including by swallowing. Certain phthalates have been linked to effects on development and the hormone system.
Check if you own it
Look for a 101 Dalmatians faux leather coin purse bought at a Primark store from March 2026 through June 2026 for about $9. The stores were in the Northeast and in Florida, Maryland and Illinois.
What to do
Stop using the coin purse right away and keep it away from children. Return it to a Primark store for a full refund in the original form of payment.
