Recall: Mini Laser Pointer Keychains with easy-to-reach button batteries
August 6, 2026 ยท Source: U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission
What it is
KC Imports and Exports is recalling Laser & LED Light Mini Laser Pointer Keychains. About 9,600 units were sold.
The hazard
The button batteries in these keychains can be reached easily by children, so the keychains violate the mandatory safety standard for products with button cell and coin batteries. The packaging and product also do not have the warnings required under Reese's Law. When button cell or coin batteries are swallowed, they can cause serious injuries, internal chemical burns and death.
Check if you own it
Look for Laser & LED Light Mini Laser Pointer Keychains. They were sold at gas stations and discount stores nationwide, and online at https://www.divaatheartsj.com/, from June 2025 through June 2026 for about 42 cents each.
What to do
Stop using the recalled laser keychains immediately and contact KC Import and Export for a refund. To get a refund, email a photo of the products disposed of in the trash to kcimport90058@hotmail.com. Button cell batteries are hazardous, so dispose of or recycle them by following local hazardous waste procedures.
