Yamazuki recalls youth ATVs, model XW-A19, over crash risk
August 13, 2026 ยท Source: U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission
What it is
The recall covers Yamazuki youth all-terrain vehicles (ATVs), model XW-A19. They were made by Yongkang Dingchang Industry and Trade Co., Ltd, of China. About 1,050 were sold.
The hazard
These ATVs do not meet the mandatory safety standard for ATVs. The parking brakes fail to hold, and the speed limiting device is not set to the restricted speed required for children ages six and older. The ATVs are also missing the required rear safety reflectors, so other vehicles may have a harder time seeing them. Together these pose a crash hazard that could cause serious injury or death.
Check if you own it
Look for a youth ATV labeled model XW-A19. It was sold online at Amazon.com and Walmart.com from September 2025 through April 2026 for between $500 and $580. A different Yamazuki model, XW-A17, was recalled earlier, in June 2026.
What to do
Stop using the recalled ATV right away. Contact Yamazuki for a free repair kit, with shipping included. The kit has replacement parking brake latches, rear safety reflectors, an owner's manual storage bag and repair tools. See the official recall notice for details.
