Alanca 6-Drawer Dressers recalled because they can tip over
September 3, 2026 ยท Source: U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission
What it is
Alanca 6-Drawer Dressers sold by Nanjing Wu Hai Smart Home Appliance Store. About 261 were sold online at Wayfair.com from April 2025 through June 2026 for between $206 and $240.
The hazard
If the dresser is not anchored to the wall, it is unstable and can tip over. This can trap a child and could cause serious injury or death. The dressers also do not meet the mandatory safety standard required by the STURDY Act.
Check if you own it
Look for an Alanca 6-Drawer Dresser in your home. It may have been bought on Wayfair.com between April 2025 and June 2026.
What to do
If the dresser is not anchored to the wall, stop using it right away and move it to an area children cannot get into. Contact Nanjing Wu Hai Smart Home for a full refund. You will be asked to write "RECALLED" in permanent marker on the top, front and sides of the dresser, take out all the drawers, and send photos of the marked and taken-apart dresser to Nanjingdresserrecall@NanjingWuhai.com.
