August 27, 2026 ยท Source: U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission
What it is
The Chillife 5-in-1 Montessori Baby Toy Sets include a pull string teething toy. About 20,134 sets were sold online at Amazon.com from July 2023 through April 2026 for about $27.
The hazard
The silicone strings on the pull string teething toy are smaller and longer than the mandatory toy standard allows. They can reach the back of a child's throat and become lodged, which can cause breathing trouble and choking that can be deadly. CPSC is aware of four choking incidents. No medical attention was required.
Check if you own it
Look for the Chillife 5-in-1 Montessori Baby Toy Set, especially if you bought it on Amazon.com. Check whether it includes the pull string teething toy.
