HABA USA recalls Rainbow Rattle Grasping and Teething Toys
August 27, 2026 ยท Source: U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission
What it is
The HABA Rainbow Rattle Grasping and Teething Toy is a toy made with small wooden and plastic pieces on an elastic cord. About 2,000 were sold at specialty stores nationwide and online at Amazon.com, Target.com, Bellalunatoys.com, Habausa.com and Nordstrom.com from December 2025 through July 2026 for about $13.
The hazard
The glued knot on the elastic cord can come untied. If that happens, young children can get to the small wooden and plastic pieces, which can cause a risk of serious injury or death from choking and ingestion. The company has received two reports of the knots coming untied. No injuries have been reported.
Check if you own it
Look for the HABA Rainbow Rattle Grasping and Teething Toy in your home or in your child's toys, especially if it was bought from one of the stores or websites listed above between December 2025 and July 2026.
What to do
Stop using the toy right away and take it away from children. Contact HABA USA to get a full refund. You will be asked to destroy the toy by cutting the elastic cord, take a photo of it, and send the photo with your name and address to recall@habausa.com. After that, throw away the destroyed toy.
