ONTHEWEI baby bath seats recalled because they can tip over
October 8, 2026 ยท Source: U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission
What it is
The recall covers ONTHEWEI Baby Bath Seats, which are used to seat a baby in the bath.
The hazard
The bath seats are unstable and can tip over while in use. This could lead to serious injury or death from drowning. The seats also do not meet the mandatory standard for infant bath seats.
Check if you own it
Look for an ONTHEWEI Baby Bath Seat. About 2,140 were sold on Amazon.com in April 2026 for between $40 and $50.
What to do
Stop using the bath seat right away and contact ONTHEWEI for a full refund. To get the refund, you will be asked to make the seat unusable: (1) Write "RECALLED" in permanent marker on the front of the seat. (2) Take it apart by removing the back rest and arm restraints. (3) Cut the three suction cups on the underside of the seat. (4) Email a photo of the marked, taken-apart seat to onthewei@outlook.com. Then throw the seat away.
