SOOWERY 8-Drawer Fabric Dressers recalled because they can tip over
Source: U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission
What it is
The recall covers the SOOWERY 8-Drawer Fabric Dresser. About 138 were sold online at Amazon.com from December 2025 through August 2026 for about $106.
The hazard
If the dresser is not anchored to the wall, it is unstable. It can tip over and trap a child, which could lead to serious injury or death. The dressers also do not meet the mandatory safety standard required by the STURDY Act.
Check if you own it
Check whether you have a SOOWERY 8-Drawer Fabric Dresser, especially if you bought it on Amazon.com.
What to do
If the dresser is not anchored to the wall, stop using it right away and move it to an area children cannot get to. Contact SOOWERY for a full refund. You will be asked to write "RECALLED" in permanent marker on the top, front and sides of the dresser and to remove all the drawers. Then send photos of the marked, taken-apart dresser to SOOWERYrecall@outlook.com. After that, dispose of the dresser.
